Irlen Syndrome affects the way the brain perceives and processes visual information. It can cause difficulties accurately seeing words, numbers and music. Difficulties with depth perception, light sensitivity and computer use can also be helped by colour. The purpose of the screener is to determine the correct coloured overlay which can reduce or eliminate misperceptions and improve the quality of your reading. It can also help inform whether further assessment is required by an Irlen Diagnostician for potential Spectral Filters, which are worn as glasses/contact lenses.
